Are Individuals who have been granted Deferred Action by the Department of Homeland Security Pursuant to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Process eligible to Join the U.S. Armed Forces?
The short answer is yes. Currently, the MAVNI program was reinstated on May 16, 2012 and there is a cap of only 1500 slots per year. The MAVNI program has been extended until the end of Fiscal Year 2016.
